Meet Chad
Since this little corner of the internet is about our family and the life we’re building together, it’s only fair that I introduce you to the guy who keeps me laughing, encourages every crazy idea I come up with, and never complains when I rope him into taste-testing yet another new recipe. Meet my husband, Chad, the other half of Oak Hollow Hearth and Home.

Chad and I have been married for three wonderful (and wonderfully chaotic) years. He’s my biggest cheerleader – the person who cheers me on through long days at work, late-night and weekend baking marathons, and every new adventure I drag him into.
By day, Chad works in industrial maintenance. It’s a career that keeps him on his toes and constantly challenges him (which he secretly loves, even if he won’t admit it). Outside of work, he’s a gym enthusiast – mostly because he likes to eat (but also because he wants to be healthy and fit as he gets older). Conveniently, his need to eat makes him the perfect built-in taste-tester for my baking and cooking. (Fair warning: his reviews might be slightly biased in my favor!)
When he is not lifting weights or lifting forks, you’ll probably find him being a professional couch potato – controller in hand, fully immersed in whatever video game world he’s currently exploring. He’s also our resident yard guy; he doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty every now and then to keep our space looking nice.
Chad’s also completely smitten with our little zoo – two dogs and a cat who adore him (the cat’s attitude toward him may be questionable). Whether we’re hanging out in the backyard, heading off on our annual vacation, or just watching a movie marathon at home, Chad brings a chaotic, steady energy to our family that balances out my whirlwind personality perfectly.
I’m so thankful to have my other half by my side in this crazy beautiful life – and I know you’ll love getting to know him here on the blog, too.
